After the Podesta and Hillary emails were released by WikiLeaks in November, 2016, and after researchers found odd references to “food items”, “pizza-related maps”, and “spirit cooking” with a woman named Marina Abramović, you may have heard references to “pizzagate”. When word got around, Instagram and other social media accounts were made private, logos were changed, and then some guy went and shot up Comet Ping Pong, which was owned by a guy whose name is a play on “I love children” in French. (James Alefantis was also voted one of Washington, D.C.’s most powerful people by GQ magazine.)
At the time of the shooting, researchers were labeled as “conspiracy theorists” and were blamed for the shooting.
